Our smart oven has an internal camera and infrared sensor which recognize the food type and whether foods are fresh or frozen.1 Once recognized, we use cooking algorithms to dial in the cooking cycle to deliver great results that can be customized to your liking.
The smart oven can recognize more than 40 different types of fresh and frozen foods1, including pizza, chicken breast, bacon, Brussels sprouts and more. More foods will be added to this list over time.
Does the auto food recognition allow me to customize the way my food is cooked? For instance, if I prefer a crispier pizza can I input this instruction, or will the oven cook pizza the same way each time?
Once the smart oven recognizes the food placed inside, it will bring up cooking options based on your preferences.1 If you put in a pizza, the smart oven will give you a range of crispiness options to choose from, and it will remember your preferences over time.
Can the smart oven cook foods with different cook times simultaneously? For example, can I cook asparagus and frozen chicken at the same time?
The smart oven will detect one primary food and cook to that food algorithm. This means some foods, like chicken and vegetables, can successfully cook at the same time. However, foods with different cook times should be added separately. If cooking foods at the same time, you can keep a close eye on your dishes progress with the Live Look-In feature.2
Can I program my own recipes into the oven? If so, how? How do I adjust my existing recipes or other recipes to be smart oven compatible?
Yes, you can program your WLabs™ Smart Oven to remember the exact temperatures and cooking times of your favorite dishes or cherished family recipes. Plus, the systematic algorithms of our smart oven will start to recognize and collect those cooking patterns, making it even smarter over time.
Yes, you can use the smart oven with meal kits. Simply use the oven as the meal kit instructions state and enjoy your favorite meals. The smart oven can also cook meal kit items using the auto or assisted modes, taking the guesswork out of cooking.
Does the smart oven cook foods faster than a traditional oven? If so, does that make it more energy efficient?
The smart oven’s built-in preheat feature eliminates the lag time between preheating and cooking but maintains the precise temperature needed to cook your food just the way you like it.
Our smart oven’s kitchen countertop size and design have a smaller footprint than a full-size oven. So it utilizes less energy, while still letting you prepare an infinite variety of culinary creations. And, like many appliances, energy consumption varies based on frequency of use and style of cooking.
Yes, the current cooking algorithm is set to a 95 percent confidence interval, so cooking times and settings should be very accurate. The smart oven has three great options for when the cooking cycle is complete. You can choose to hold the cooking temperature, reduce temperature to keep it warm, or turn off the oven.
What kinds of dishes, bakeware, etc. can be used in the smart oven? And can I put parchment paper, foil, etc. in the smart oven?
