Yes, you can program your WLabs™ Smart Oven to remember the exact temperatures and cooking times of your favorite dishes or cherished family recipes. Plus, the systematic algorithms of our smart oven will start to recognize and collect those cooking patterns, making it even smarter over time.
Can I use the Wlabs™ Smart Oven with meal kits?
Yes, you can use the smart oven with meal kits. Simply use the oven as the meal kit instructions state and enjoy your favorite meals. The smart oven can also cook meal kit items using the auto or assisted modes, taking the guesswork out of cooking.
Does the oven automatically turn off once a food has reached the desired result?
The smart oven has three great options for when the cooking cycle is complete. You can choose to hold the cooking temperature, reduce temperature to keep it warm, or turn off the oven.
What kinds of dishes, bakeware, etc., can be used in the smart oven? And can I put parchment paper, foil, etc., in the smart oven?
You can use anything that's marked both oven and microwave safe in the smart oven. Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of materials other than metal or glass. Do not use paper, cardboard, plastic, or anything flammable in the smart oven. Foil is only permitted in the multipurpose pan to catch grease.
Will the smart oven recognize something that shouldn’t be in there (like foil, metal, etc.)?
While the WLabs™ Smart Oven won’t prompt you to remove items that should not go in the oven, it will prompt users to use the assisted method if it does not recognize an item.
How do I clean my WLabs™ Smart Oven?
We recommend removing any interior splatter with a sponge or cloth dampened with warm soapy water. Please check out our Use & Care Guide on our website for complete cleaning instructions.
Is the app necessary to use the oven?
The WLabs™ Smart Oven will work without the app, however, we are releasing the product with both the oven and its companion app as only by working together can the smart oven and the app provide you with the total cooking nirvana experience we’ve planned for tech-savvy foodies like you. Please note that the oven is currently sold out.
Is the WLabs App still available for download?
The WLabs App will not be available to download after November 1, 2023.
What do I need to do to continue to use the WLabs App after it is no longer available to download?
To continue using the WLabs App you must keep the app on your device and avoid deleting the app. If you get a new device, be sure to backup your old device to avoid losing the WLabs App.
How is the WLabs™ Smart Oven compatible with the Whirlpool® app?
The WLabs™ Smart Oven is not compatible with the Whirlpool app. The smart oven syncs with the WLabs app. You can control the oven's settings with the touch of a button. The app’s Live Look-In lets you watch meals cook on your smartphone or tablet — from any location and allows you to control your smart oven with Amazon Alexa1.
Will the app update? How often?
Not anymore. The WLabs App will no longer be updated. The WLabs App will not be available to download after November 1, 2023.
How often will the smart oven software update?
We'll push out periodic software updates. You will be notified when an update is ready.
How can I get my WiFi to connect?
To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:
- Close the app.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth > Find Bluetooth Device > Click i Button (Information Button) > Click Forget This Device.
- On your smart oven, click Try Again on the control panel.
- Repeat the pairing process.

Yes, it can! Please make sure the oven is connected to WiFi. By using simple voice commands, the smart oven easily interacts with your Alexa-enabled device, so nothing gets lost in translation.1
